Parnell Street another bumper winner for Slattery Parnell Street was all the rage for the bumper in Killarney and the favourite won as he pleased at 2/5 for trainer Andy Slattery. Adam Ryan raced him close to the pace and he took over from Max Goodwin entering the long home straight. The Elusive Pimpernel gelding moved clear a furlong down and was from perturbed in sweeping in by 11 lengths. Minor honours went the way of Hopeful Hero (5/1) and Max Goodwin (14/1) in second and third respectively. Assistant trainer Willie Slattery said: "He is a nice horse. Things went a bit wrong for him in Galway (fourth) as he got too far back and, while we were confident coming here, we didn't know about the rest (newcomers). "He is unbelievable over a fence although he might go for a winners' bumper first. We generally aren't bumper-minded although he is the sixth winner we've had recently from eight or ten such horses. "Pat (Morrissey, joint-owner) bred, reared and pre-trained this horse, so did the whole lot." He added: "I myself am definitely against over-watered tracks and this is an over-watered track today, but it suited us. He wouldn't run on heavy ground though." Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
