Pathfork on course for Guineas Jessica Harrington's unbeaten colt Pathfork remains firmly on course in his bid for Classic glory in the Qipco 2000 Guineas on April 30. The three-year-old rounded off an unbeaten juvenile campaign with a narrow defeat of Casamento in the National Stakes at the Curragh, and Harrington is happy to let her charge line up at Newmarket without a prep run as she is keen to preserve him for the long season ahead. "He's working away and with the sun on his back he looks strong and looks well," Harrington told At The Races. "I'm very happy with him and it was always the plan to go straight to Newmarket. He has American owners and their aim would be to get to the Breeders' Cup this year, so it's going to be a long season. "I'm just hoping I have him well enough for the Guineas first time up. We'll just see how things go, but it's very exciting." Harrington also has a live contender for the 1000 Guineas in Laughing Lashes, a Group Two winner last year and second in the Moyglare Stud Stakes. "She's very good and she's grown a good bit over the winter," the trainer continued. "She's a big filly, I'm very happy with her and she's going straight for the Guineas. She's only really now beginning to fill out and mature."
