There are no less than eight Irish-trained runners in action at Ayr today.

Stuart Crawford has enjoyed plenty of success at the Scottish venue in recent times and send four horses across the water.

In the opening mares' novices' hurdle, he is represented by both Our Pink Lady and El Poppochapo but it is John McConnell's Downpatrick bumper winner Champagnesocialist who heads the market.

Crawford's Champ De Gane has prospects in the novices' handicap chase which is a tight betting heat despite just five runners going to post.

Crawford's Isenay has attracted support in the concluding bumper where he meets McConnell's Chance The Robin.

Stephen McConville runs Hollybank King in the extended two mile handicap chase and Kinnegad Lad in the two mile handicap hurdle.
