Plenty of rain needed for Approval

Cape Of Approval will only run in Saturday's Wokingham Stakes "if the heavens open".

Winner of a Cork Listed race on Sunday where he had Maarek behind him, the Tommy Stack-trained four-year-old is only seen at his best when the mud is flying.

He picked up a 5lb penalty for his cosy success under Billy Lee but some of the forecast thundery showers will have to hit the track for him to leave his Irish base.

Stack's son and assistant, Fozzy, said: "The heavens would have to open.

"We know he loves it soft and at the minute it's fast ground.

"There's plenty of rain forecast but it would nearly all have to hit for him to travel."
