Police Investigation Continues

Another person has answered bail as part of the on-going City of London Police investigation into alleged race-fixing.

A total of seven people, including six-times champion jockey Kieren Fallon, returned on bail this week and have been ordered to report back to the police early next year.

'Seven people have come in this week - two on Monday, one on Tuesday, two on Wednesday, one who was due on Thursday but came in earlier and one on Friday,' said a spokesman for the City of London Police.

'Nine more are scheduled to come in next week including more licensed people.'

Jockey Darren Williams is believed to be answering bail next week while others arrested and bailed as part of the investigation during the last year include fellow riders Robert Winston and Paul Bradley as well as trainers Alan Berry and Karl Burke.

All deny any wrongdoing and so far no-one has been charged.
