Polo Lounge made all the running under Danny Mullins to run out an easy winner of the second division of the www.angloprinters.ie Maiden Hurdle at Limerick.

Sent straight to the front, the Califet gelding jumped well on his hurdling debut and had most of his rivals in trouble a long ways from home.

Second favourite Catena Zapata closed right up turning into the straight but once Danny Mullins let out an inch of rein, the odds on jolly quickened away impressively. Alpesh Amin stayed on best of the rest to take third for local trainer Eric McNamara.

Danny Mullins said; "it is always difficult to win first time over hurdles and he had to bounce out and make his own running. He had a little look at some of his hurdles but in fairness he was professional.

"He handled the ground well."
