Prince targets Gowran pot Prince De Beauchene misses the cut for next week's Cheltenham Festival but connections of the veteran may gain a measure of compensation when they attempt to lift the sizeable Tetratema Cup, for the hunters chase at Gowran Park. The 12-year-old has been forced to bypass the Festival meeting this year due to a Grade One placing in 2013, though Willie Mullins' charge would qualify in 2016. Prince De Beauchene will again be ridden by the trainer's son Patrick, but he certainly won't have things his own way and must give weight away to a few capable rivals. The Adrian Maguire-trained Two Rockers, winner of three hurdle races for Alan King in 2012-13, is unlucky not to have won all six of his point-to-points, having unseated his rider at the final fence on his only defeat. Also opposing is Wish Ye Didnt, himself an unlucky last-fence casualty at Clonmel on his last start and now receiving 21lb from Prince De Beauchene. Elsewhere on the card, Mullins can take the concluding bumper with Yorkhill, who won a point-to-point last time out for Colin McKeever. The featured Holden Plant Rentals Shamrock Handicap Chase sees February course winner Toon River bidding to give Davy Russell a big send-off before his ride on Lord Windermere in the Cheltenham Gold Cup next week.
