Givehertilxmas puts it all together in September A bit of advice from Colin Keane worked the oracle with his father Gerry's Givehertilxmas in the Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Handicap over an extended seven-furlongs in Bellewstown. Jack Kearney came in for the ride on the four-year-old filly who was having her 14th start with best previous finishes of second here and in Roscommon. She went off at 9/1 for this assignment and raced in the box seat of second before travelling well into the lead inside the final quarter of a mile. She stayed on well to see it out by a length from runner-up Mythical Rock (4/1). Mickey The Steel (11/2) was another half a length away in third. The trainer said: "She's a grand, genuine filly. "Colin was second here last year only beaten half a length. She was beaten a head in Roscommon and has been unlucky. "He (Keane) told me the last day to claim off her and put a pair of visors on her. It helped anyway. "She's very genuine, but is just a bit lairy. "It was a great effort and Jack was very good on her."
