Punchestown update Liam Holton from Punchestown explained the difficult situation facing officials at the County Kildare track to Des Cahill on the Sports News after eleven on RTE 1 radio. They have prepared a new hurdles track on the wide outside, between the chase course and where the hurdles were. The ground there is said to be in very good condition. Meanwhile the chases lost over the few days are not going to form a new card on Sunday as had been suggested in some quarters. A possibility that these events could make-up a card in early May was not ruled out.
