Quest For Peace lands the Glorious Quest For Peace benefited from a well-judged front-running ride from Kieren Fallon to emerge victorious in the Coutts Glorious Stakes at Goodwood. The multiple champion jockey was allowed to dictate things at only a modest gallop for much of the mile and a half journey and gradually wound the pace up once straightened up to face the judge. The challengers were queuing up in behind with three furlongs to run, but Luca Cumani's 5-1 shot kept pulling out more and stayed on all the way to the line to take the Group Three prize by a length and a quarter from Dandino. Gatewood was favourite following three successive victories, but he had to make to with third spot on this occasion. Fallon said: "Nothing wanted to go on - this lad doesn't mind bowling along and all we wanted was a decent gallop. "He's been tried pretty highly and run some decent races in defeat so it will be a confidence booster for him today, I hope. "It's quite windy out there and it's difficult to know how quick we were going, but we were allowed to dictate and he's a hard horse to get past once he's in front."
