Quinz takes 2nd at Exeter

Quinz, a son of Rathbarry Stud's Robin Des Champs, put up a generally fluent round of jumping to justify 11/10 favouritism in the Christmas Parties Here At Exeter Racecourse Beginners' Chase.

His Philip Hobbs trained stable companion Estates Recovery departed early leaving the Richard Johnson-ridden Quinz, in the well-know Andrew Cohen colours, with just three rivals to beat.

When asked by Johnson three out, Quinz got it wrong but otherwise there weren't too many more anxious moments as the big strong French-bred strode to an impressive twenty three length success over Cashel Blue.

Hobbs and Johnson have Dare Me to look forward to later on the programme.
