Racing For Beginners Day at Naas Naas Racecourse is hosting a Racing for Beginners Day on Wednesday 21st July with entertaining hosts for the evening, Hector O hEochagain and Paul Collins (of Today FM). Throughout the evening, the hosts will be interviewing Irelands top jockeys and trainers, plus many interesting characters from the Irish horseracing industry who will be on hand to explain everything you need to know about a day at the races. Topics to be discussed include betting, understanding your racecard, how to read the ‘form’, racehorse ownership, racing terminology explained, tips for the day, plus much more. For the ladies there is a fabulous €1,000 make over on offer. A lucky lady will be picked from the crowd and receive a prize that includes an outfit by Linda Wall, an up and coming Irish designer (worth up to €400), shoes from Cinders (worth up to €150), hair by Peter Mark (wash, cut, blow-dry and colour, worth up to €100), makeup by Trish Dolan of ‘Make up To Go’ (worth €350), plus dinner for two and a bottle of wine at Naas Races in the popular panoramic restaurant at a race meeting of your choice. There will be a summer evening barbecue package available for an all-inclusive €30 per person. The package includes admission, racecard, a barbecue meal plus live music with ‘Epic’ after racing until 11pm.
