The winners keep flowing for Alex Harvey and he brought up a quick-fire double in the GMIB Handicap Hurdle at Killarney with Spy

The leader Miss Fourie fell three out leaving sweet-travelling Spy at the head of affairs. He was still swinging away on the bridle jumping two out with all the horses in behind exerting their jockeys' arms.

Harvey could afford a peek through his legs between the last two flights and his partner readily asserted before the last.

The 9/2 shot jumped it well and came in by a reduced margin of two and three-quarter lengths from a staying-on Come On The Lads (9/2). Bowensonfire (6/1) was five and a-half lengths adrift in third.

Charles Byrnes said: "He was in off a nice weight and the watered ground is a plus to him at this stage. Alex gave him a beautiful ride and was probably lucky he wasn't brought down (by Miss Fourie), but our horse looked to have them all covered at the time.

"He wasn't highly-enough rated to win a maiden hurdle and, generally, this grade of horse doesn't get into these handicaps and it was a good pot to win. There has been a lot of racing lately, so they're breaking up a bit and thank God he got in.

"It is great for the owners (With My Little Eye Syndicate) who have stuck with him and have just rewards."

Harvey also took the opener on Wonderfulwonderful for John McConnell and this is now four winners from his last four rides in Ireland. He has partnered six winners in the last week.
