Trainer Mick Halford is considering a tilt at the Qipco 1000 Guineas with Rehana following her pleasing return to action at Leopardstown last weekend.

The daughter of Dark Angel comfortably beat subsequent Fillies' Mile winner and Guineas favourite Rhododendron when shedding her maiden tag at the Curragh last June.

Rhododendron turned the tables in the Debutante Stakes, but Rehana still performed with credit to finish fourth, just as she did in the Moyglare Stud Stakes.

She made her first appearance since that Group One assignment last September in Saturday's 1,000 Guineas Trial and was beaten just a length into third place.

Halford said: "I was very happy with her. She ran well from a wide draw and would appreciate even quicker ground than it was on the day.

"The English Guineas is under consideration. She's also in the Irish Guineas and the Athasi Stakes, so we've got a few options.

"We'll keep an eye on the weather and the ground and see which way we go."
