Rio set for Auteuil trip

Jumbo Rio is going to try his luck in Auteuil again following his victory at Limerick a week ago.

The four-year-old made a triumphant return from a three-month break after winning at Tipperary in July, having finished second in two visits to the Paris track earlier in the summer.

"We're getting him ready to run in a big hurdle race on November 15 at Auteuil," trainer Edward O'Grady told At The Races.

"I was going to run him in a big race at Tipperary the Sunday before that, but it seems wiser to duck older horses when the opportunity arises.

"It's much the better if you can keep four-year-olds in their own age group.

"After France he might run at Leopardstown over Christmas."
