Generous Risk (6/4) made virtually all under Sam Ewing to land the Golf, Padel, Range At Leopardstown Launching Spring 2026 Maiden Hurdle.

On his third ride back after returning from an injury which sidelined him for six weeks, this was a return to the winners' enclosure for Ewing who was filling in for the suspended Jack Kennedy.

A point-to-point winner for Donnchadh Doyle, the No Risk At All gelding had been placed in three of his four starts in bumpers.

The hurdling debutant was still travelling well on the approach to the final flight and went clear on the run-in to beat Haveanothertry by nine and a half lengths.

“To be fair he’s not a bad horse. He had a couple of good runs in bumpers,” said Gordon Elliott, who trains the winner for Gigginstown House Stud and also saddled the runner-up.

“He was just being hard on himself in bumpers, so we said we’d go jumping.

“He’ll probably make a chaser next year. It’s not like us to go jumping a hurdle at this time of year, but he’s six so we said we’d let him rock on.

“I think he’s a nice horse, he had a really good run in Fairyhouse. He jumped great.

“He might go to Fairyhouse for something, and he could be a horse for Aintree.”
