Sandown novice looks hot A cracking renewal of the Racing Post Henry VIII Novices' Chase is in prospect at Sandown on Saturday with nine possibles after the race was reopened. The majority of the field are quoted in the market for the Arkle at Cheltenham in March, with most towards the head of the betting. Alan King has two nice prospects engaged in Balder Succes and Manyriverstocross, who beat Claret Cloak on his chasing debut at Exeter. The last-named horse could reoppose for Emma Lavelle and would be 5lb better off than on their recent meeting. Nicky Henderson has entered classy hurdler Grandouet, who looked beaten on his chasing debut when unseating Barry Geraghty at the last. It was Paul Nicholls' Hinterland who looked to have him cooked that day and that pair could also clash again. Jonjo O'Neill's Taquin du Seuil was impressive when beating Oscar Whisky at Cheltenham and arrives on a hat-trick while Nicholls' Dodging Bullets, a winner at the same meeting, is also engaged. The Evan Williams-trained De Faoithesdream and Zoe Davison's Roger Beantown complete the list.
