Seabass returns at Punchestown Ted Walsh's talented Seabass is set to make his first competitive appearance in over 600 days at Punchestown on Sunday. The 12-year-old is best known for carrying Katie Walsh to third place when joint-favourite for the 2012 Grand National, which remains the highest-ever finish by a female jockey in the Aintree spectacular. He disappointed when favourite once more on Merseyside the following April and has made just three starts since, most recently finishing last of five at Down Royal in March of last year. Pat Glynn, part of the owning Gunners Syndicate, said: "He's in good form and he's lost none of his ability. "He's had a couple of injuries, but he's got no miles on the clock and he'll run on Sunday fresh and ready to go. "We'll see how he runs before we make any plans. Sunday will be a good test for him. "He worked after racing a couple of times at Naas and the Curragh a few weeks ago and we're looking forward to seeing him run." Seabass is one of 14 horses declared for the two-and-three-quarter-mile contest, with Sizing Gold, Followmeuptocarlow and Empire Of Dirt all familiar names.
