Seeyouatmidnight out of Scottish National Sandy Thomson has been forced to rule his stable star Seeyouatmidnight out of another crack at the Coral Scottish Grand National. Third in the race to Vicente as a novice 12 months ago, Thomson has suffered an interrupted season with him this time around after such a promising start. He beat Bristol De Mai in the Colin Parker Memorial at Carlisle, but was then pulled up in the Betfair Chase in which he suffered an injury. A perfectly respectable run over hurdles last month appeared to have set him up nicely for another crack at the Ayr marathon, but he has met with another setback. "He did a good piece of work on Tuesday and we were very happy with him, but he's picked up a problem which is nothing to do with his previous one," said Thomson. "I'm hoping it's a bang and nothing more serious - we'll find out early next week when it's settled down. "If it is just a bang, then there's a chance we could go to France with him. I've spoken to James Reveley about the possibility of doing that."
