Shaanmer set for Jean Prat Shaanmer, ruled out of Vodafone Derby contention, may also miss the French equivalent, the Prix du Jockey-Club, in favour of the Prix Jean Prat.The son of Darshaan went into the French 2,000 Guineas last weekend unbeaten, and was subsequently promoted a place to fourth following a stewards` enquiry.Trainer Andre Fabre said: 'Shaanmer didn`t handle the downhill part of the course at Longchamp, so we ruled Epsom out after Sunday.'We were then looking at the Jockey-Club instead. However, this isn`t an easy option with serious customers like Act One around.'So Shaanmer may instead go for the Prix Jean Prat.'The Group One Prix Jean Prat is run over nine furlongs on the same card as the Jockey-Club on June 2nd at Chantilly.Fabre also revealed that his Sagitta 2,000 Guineas eighth, Massalani, will be dropping back to Group Three company next time out in the Prix de la Jonchere.However, plans for Bowman, third to Landseer in the French 2,000 Guineas, the Poule d`Essai des Poulains, remain fluid.Bowman won the Prix de Fontainebleau before the classic. The Sheikh Mohammed-owned colt was supplemented on that occasion.Fabre also confirmed that his high-class filly Banks Hill will reappear in the Prix d`Ispahan at Longchamp on Sunday.
