Danny Sheehy recorded his first winner in the UK this afternoon, partnering the Adrian Keatley trained Buzz Boy to victory in the seventh at Redcar, the Pay For Racing UK Via Mobile Handicap.

Sheehy actually registered his initial racecourse success for Keatley at Dundalk early last month, and he has since added two more at the all-weather venue.

Buzz Boy, who was unplaced on his previous nine starts, stepped up in trip to a mile and six this afternoon, and he was the subject of plenty of market support, going from 9’s to 6’s on-course.

Settled behind the leader, he hit the front over two furlongs out, and kept on well from there, going on to score by three and a quarter lengths.

Keatley and Sheehy again teamed up in the concluding Thanks & See You Next Season Handicap.

They were represented by Sea Of Hope in this six furlong contest, but the 4/1 chance failed to land a blow, and finished eleventh of the eighteen runners.
