Silver success for Madden at Cheltenham Niall Madden sat tight as Henryville survived a final-fence blunder to claim top honours in the Matt Hampson Foundation & NSIF Silver Trophy at Cheltenham. The 7-1 shot was one of two runners in the 10-strong field for trainer Harry Fry and with jockey Noel Fehily siding with Voix D'Eau, Madden came in for the ride on his stablemate. Course and distance winner Foxtail Hill led for much of the two-mile-five-furlong journey and briefly looked to have cut loose racing down the hill. However, Henryville covered the move and seemed set to win decisively after sweeping to the lead rounding the home bend. There was to be a late scare for his supporters though, with the nine-year-old making a mess of the final obstacle, but Madden was able to keep the partnership intact. Henryville also wandered under pressure on the run-in, but had enough in the tank to hold the rallying Foxtail Hill at bay by four lengths.
