Simply Ned set to tackle Leopardstown test Simply Ned is set to run in the Paddy Power Chase for the third year running at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting following his latest solid effort at Cheltenham. The nine-year-old ran his usual consistent race when second to Fox Norton in the Shloer Chase. Ireland is his next port of call as the Nicky Richards-trained gelding seeks to improve on his second position in the Grade One last term and third place in 2014. "He's fine, not a bother," said Richards. "He's a super old horse, he runs his race more times than he doesn't, virtually to the pound, and he takes us to all the big days. "He'll go to Leopardstown at Christmas. He's been second and third in it. That's his sort of race."
