A wide-margin winner at Killarney in August before finishing third in a winners' contest at Listowel, useful bumper performer Parnell Street starts off over hurdles in today's William Hill Each Way Extra Challenge Series Maiden Hurdle (1.40) at Wexford.

Amateur Adam Ryan keeps the ride on the five-year-old and trainer Andy Slattery is looking forward to seeing his charge over flights.

"Nice horse and jumps well, so we are looking forward to him," said Slattery.

"He would probably like it softer than what he has been running on. He's a big horse and has been running on better ground, I'd say he would like soft ground."
