Smullen has Italian job on Pat Smullen is dusting off his passport this weekend as he flies to Italy to ride Energia Davos in the Premio Roma. The Jane Chapple-Hyam-trained grey heads abroad in great form having beaten the consistent Sovereign Debt last time out in the Group Three Darley Stakes at Newmarket. The seven-year-old has been in great form for some time with his only disappointment coming in the Cambridgeshire. Also making the journey is Andrew Balding's Tullius, not disgraced in the QE II on Champions Day at Ascot. There are also several representatives from France including Prince Gibraltar, seventh in the Arc and second in a German Group One last weekend.
