Dermot McLoughlin must have been dreaming of Crabbie's Grand National glory for at least a few strides after the last as the veteran Vics Canvas finished a gallant third to Rule The World in the Aintree showpiece, and the Ratoath trainer should be among the winners at Limerick on Thursday with Some Drama.

The nine-year-old gelding has just a Sligo handicap hurdle win to his credit but has gone close on a number of occasions recently over fences.

Andrew Lynch's mount faces just four modest rivals in the Greenmount Park Beginners Chase, and this looks a great opportunity to notch a deserved success over fences.

Bryan Cooper's title aspirations have been given a chink of light with the recent wrist injury to Ruby Walsh, and he makes the journey to Limerick for just one ride aboard Siberian Vixen in the National Student Raceday Mares Maiden Hurdle.

Cooper is currently 11 behind Walsh (100-89) in the championship with 11 jumping racedays remaining before the season comes to an end at Punchestown on April 30.

Siberian Vixen found Grade Three company too much here last time but previously beat all bar Not For Burning in a Fairyhouse handicap.

Denis O'Regan, recently appointed as retained jockey by powerful owner Barry Connell, could be on the mark aboard Bobbie's Diamond in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle.

The Tony Martin-trained gelding has kept some really good company both over hurdles and fences, and takes a drop in class for this event.

Philip Dempsey's in-form yard may continue the good recent run with Routes Choice in the Book Online At www.limerickraces.ie Mares Handicap Hurdle, while Noel Meade and Charles O'Brien are among the trainers to introduce some interesting newcomers in the bumper.
