St. Nicholas Abbey on course for Epsom Aidan O'Brien has indicated that St. Nicholas Abbey and Midas Touch are already on his team sheet for the Epsom Derby, but no decisions have yet been made regarding either Cape Blanco or Jan Vermeer. He told The Racing Post: "For St Nicholas Abbey and Midas Touch, Epsom has always been the plan. "Jan Vermeer, who came out of his Curragh race well, and Cape Blanco also have the option of France. They haven't sat down to sort that out yet and it will be another few days before any decision is made." O'Brien is bidding to win the mile and a half Classic for the third time in his career following the successes of Galileo and High Chapparal
