O'Keeffe & De Bromhead complete Punchestown doubles Trainer Henry De Bromhead and stable jockey Darragh O’Keeffe combined for Punchestown doubles today, with Pat O’s Rock (7/4) completing the feat in neatly landing the William Hill Challenge Series Maiden Hurdle. Homebred by owner Michael O’Flynn’s Rockfield Farm, the daughter of top stallion Walk In The Park had landed a Kilbeggan bumper in September and today, on jumps debut, overcame more experienced rivals to score by 4.25 lengths from Ealu Tapa. Both O’Keeffe and De Bromhead had earlier scored with Sea Of Dubka, and following this second success, trainer’s assistant Robbie Power said “it was a good performance by Pat O’s Rock, and she also looked nice when she won her bumper in Kilbeggan earlier this summer. “It was her first run over hurdles today, she jumped super all the way and got into a lovely rhythm. She showed a good attitude and is a really nice filly to look forward to. I'm delighted for Michael O'Flynn (owner)." Quotes from John O’Riordan
