Stack hoping Alive shines in Alleged Fozzy Stack is looking forward to getting Alive Alive Oh back in action in the Irish Field Alleged Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. The Duke Of Marmalade filly was a live Oaks contender after sprinting away with a Listed race at Navan last May but was forced to sit out engagements at Royal Ascot and in the Irish Classic because of unsuitably fast ground. She did not run again until September but had connections scratching their heads after a tame effort in the Blandford Stakes. Stack, assistant to his father Tommy, said: "We're looking forward to getting her out and it will be good to get her back on the track. She should improve from the run but we're hoping she'll run a nice race." The race was won last year by Parish Hall, who lines up for a repeat bid. Jim Bolger's charge was chased home 12 months ago by Inis Meain and the Barry Connell-owned gelding again switches back to the level to contest the Listed contest. The seven-year-old was last seen winning a three-mile handicap hurdle at Navan in February and could continue to mix it between codes. "He ran a big race in it last year and takes on Parish Hall again. We meet him fairly right getting 2lb off him. He's in good form, has fitness on his side and it's still on the slow side there, which will help," said trainer Denis Hogan. "One mile two (furlongs) is as short as he would want it on the Flat, as you can see in handicap hurdles over three miles he is just staying. He didn't get into Cheltenham so we are reverting back to the Flat. "There is also a three-mile handicap hurdle at Punchestown, for which he'd be top weight, and that's a possible if it's safe ground. He's not he most natural of hurdlers but he's getting better and I still think there is more to come. "He's a smart Flat horse and has a great attitude. It looks a competitive race. Alive Alive Oh is a very good mare and gets the allowance, while Stuccodor steps up in grade but is also smart and will handle the ground." Dermot Weld has started the year in flying form and saddles the aforementioned Irish Lincolnshire winner Stuccodor, while John Oxx is represented by the lightly-raced Tarana in the seven-strong line-up.
