Straight Home one for Mullins and Callaghan Kilbeggan certainly hasn't been short of drama this evening and there was more in race five when Straight Home was left clear at the last to reward favourite backers at 2/1. Straight Home and Ad Caelum came through to claim I Love My Baie on the run to the last. They were locked together in jumping it with Ad Caelum going slightly the better on the outer. It was all change there, though, as Ad Caelum hit the hurdle hard and unseated Gavin Brouder who lost a battle with gravity. This caused third-running I Love My Baie to jink and deposit Ben Bromley on the turf. Straight Home galloped on to come in by four and a-half lengths from 10/1 Long Gone. Topgun Simmy (8/1) was back in third. Winning-jockey Kieran Callaghan said: “She had a couple of little issues that were found after the last day. Her work had been good, so we were confident of a good run. “I’ve ridden her a couple of times at home and she’s a very straightforward mare. “We went a good, even gallop and I was in no rush. She had won over shorter and I knew speed wasn’t going to be a problem and we also felt she would stay three miles. “Going down to the last, I thought we were really starting to pick up and I got a great jump. “I’ve finished second for the syndicate a number of times, so its great to ride a winner for them.” She won for Willie Mullins and the Whitegrass Racing Syndicate.
