Strong Irish representation in Bowl Last year's winner Silviniaco Conti is among 13 entries for the Betfred Bowl at Aintree on Thursday. The nine-year-old is on a retrieval mission after being a disappointing favourite when a well-beaten seventh to Coneygree in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, having gone to the Festival on the back of victories in the Betfair Chase and King George at Kempton on Boxing Day. His trainer Paul Nicholls also has Al Ferof, who has been absent since finishing third behind his stablemate in the latter event. Jonjo O'Neill has a leading contender in Holywell, who was fourth in the Gold Cup. Willie Mullins has left in Gold Cup fifth On His Own and has Champagne Fever, who was fourth in the Kempton feature, while Ryanair Chase runner-up Don Cossack, from Gordon Elliott's stable, is the third Irish hopeful. King George fifth Cue Card could make a return to action for the Colin Tizzard stable after being treated for a breathing problem. Nicky Henderson has put in the mare My Filleule, winner of last year's Topham Chase and third in the Ryanair. The list is completed by Ballynagour, Cloudy Too, Menorah and Vukovar.
