Sundae puts in Super round of jumping The Willie Mullins-trained Supersundae proved a different class to his rivals when making all in the William Hill Challenge Series Beginners Chase at Kilbeggan. Brian Hayes soon opened up a healthy advantage on the 11/4 shot and he had his rivals cooked jumping the second last. The Authorized gelding didn’t have to engage top gear to go on and record a comprehensive 17-length success. Supersundae had been runner-up in Grade 1 company over hurdles back in January 2025 but had failed to show that level since. Hayes said:- “He just jumped so well that he was getting lengths at every fence. It was a big drop in class from what he was running in on his last two runs. “We were hoping for a big run. The big drop in class and a bit of nicer ground all helped. “I would have been happy to take a lead but he jumped the first so well I said ‘I won’t give it away anyway’. “He was looking for every fence from there on and it was plain sailing. “He had been a bit disappointing but he’s after getting his act together now and maybe the summer ground might be a big help to him. “He was electric and every fence he was gaining lengths, he was a joy to ride. He’s not slow either.”
