Teescomponentsyess stayed on best to see off Il Courra in division two of the colts and geldings maiden hurdle over an extended two miles three at Limerick.

Il Courra took a narrow lead off Teescomponentsyess at the second last at which third-running Monvour unseated Sean Flanagan.

The market leaders were left clear to decide the spoils racing to the last. Il Courra (7/4jf) wasn't fluent at it while Teescomponentsyess (7/4jf) landed full of running and soon led.

He soon extended the advantage and won eased down by four and a half lengths. Get Supreme was seven and a half lengths behind runner-up Il Courra in third at 150/1.

Trainer Shark Hanlon said: “He’s a lovely big horse. I bought him in England for four grand and he won his bumper well.

“He jumped too big the last day in Fairyhouse but today he went on. He got a freebie up front which you like to see as he’s not fast.

“It’s lovely for the owners who are from Limerick.

“He’s going to make a lovely chaser down the road. I think he’ll be better on better ground, and will be more of a summer horse than a winter horse.”
