Telemoss Ready For Wetherby Repeat Nicky Richards has reported Telemoss to be firing on all cylinders ahead of his defence of the John Smith´s Hurdle at Wetherby on Saturday. The 11-year-old put up a career-best performance at the Yorkshire track when registering a one and a half length success from Crystal D´Ainay to win the stayers´ event in 2004. 'We´re going to run him at Wetherby I think,' the Greystoke handler told At The Races. 'The old lad seems well in himself but it will depend how fit the others are. 'He seems well and I´m quite sure he´ll run another good race.' Meanwhile, Richards is confident useful hurdler Monet´s Garden has the perfect profile for a successful chasing career. The seven-year-old, who is set to make his debut over fences at Ayr on November 6, was last seen winning a Grade Two event at Aintree by a length in April. 'He´s been schooled for chasing and that´s gone along fine up to now,' added Richards. 'The long-term aim has always been steeplechasing. His pedigree is that of a proper chaser, and this is what he´s been trained all along for.' (c) PA Sport
