Telescope out of King George Telescope has been ruled out of Saturday's King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on Saturday. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained five-year-old was sent off favourite for the midsummer highlight last season but had no answers to the filly Taghrooda. Olivier Peslier had been booked for the ride but a setback means the 2014 winner of the Hardwicke Stakes will be unable to take up his entry. A tweet from his owners, Highclere Racing, read: "TELESCOPE has had a minor setback and will not be able to participate in the King George on Saturday, but should be back on track very soon." Stoute will still be represented by the supplemented Snow Sky, winner of this year's Hardwicke last month.
