Telford-Kelly rides third winner as Mogwli holds on Megan Telford-Kelly rode her third winner under Rules when guiding the Willie McCreery trained Mogwli to a narrow success in the BOYLE Sports Home Of The Early Payout Handicap at Bellewstown. The admirable grey, who had won seven times prior to this afternoon, tracked the pace from the outset. Moving closer early in the straight, Telford-Kelly produced the eight-year-old to head leader Rock Etoile over a furlong out. Strongly pressed by Nibras Rainbow close home, Mogwli showed plenty of courage to hold on for a head win. That success saw Telford-Kelly's claim reduced to 7lb going forward. Megan Telford-Kelly said: "He quickened up around the bend and, the minute he got joined, he went on again for me. He was brilliant now and he loved the ground. "He did (find an extra leg on the soft ground) - I don't know who came to join me, but he felt him coming and quickened away again. Mogwli just kept finding in that ground and I always felt I was holding the runner-up, so I was happy out. "He loves passing horses. Willie said before just to make sure I got cover and get him in. "Third winner, hopefully a few more now!" Additional reporting by Michael Graham.
