The Lark shoots for Group Two glory in France on Sunday after missing out on an intended run at Royal Ascot.

Michael Bell's charge was due to contest Thursday's Ribblesdale Stakes but quick ground in Berkshire forced the Oaks third to bypass that run.

The Lark, who has won one of her four starts to date, will now try to record her first Pattern victory in the Abu Dhabi Prix de Malleret at Saint-Cloud instead.

"She's got her ground, her optimum trip and we think the track will suit her as well, so hopefully she should run well," said Bell.

The Lark is set to be joined in the mile-and-a-half heat by Mick Channon's Contradict while recent Chantilly winner Eleuthera and Prix Saint-Alary third Ferevia feature in the home team.

"She's got her ground, her optimum trip and we think the track will suit her as well, so hopefully she should run well," said Bell.
