Thornton seeking Carlisle success Skerries-based trainer Karl Thornton makes another trip across the water on Tuesday with two live chances at Carlisle. Thornton also saddles Colms Dream in the ApolloBet Worldwide Lotteries Novices' Handicap Chase and hopes the Beneficial gelding can go one better having been narrowly denied on a visit to Leicester in February. He returns to the larger obstacles now having won over hurdles at Down Royal last month. "He has his chance off his mark. We're happy enough with him and he's in his grade. With the 7lb off he should go well. "They are both in good order and we'd be hoping to draw with one of them."
