Tipple on top at Tramore Luker's Tipple made a winning start over fences when comfortably landing the Bar 1 Betting Rated Novice Chase at Tramore this evening. Trained by Gavin Cromwell and again ridden by Keith Donoghue, the 13/8 favourite completed a hat-trick of wins when adding to recent hurdling successes at Downpatrick and Sligo. The five-year-old jumped well and made much of the running to win by four and a half lengths from Andy Slattery’s 5/2 shot Killeemore Lad, with the Philip Dempsey-trained 9/1 chance Missus Beeton 16 lengths away in third place. The winning jockey commented, “His confidence is up at the minute and he's taking the racing well. “He's coming out of each race better. His jumping was good. We schooled him the other day and he jumped brilliantly today, and that's what won it for him. “Making the running has helped, but he's just in a good frame of mind."
