Toast Of New York aimed at Dubai World Cup The Dubai World Cup next March is the target for Toast Of New York. Agonisingly beaten a nose in the Breeders' Cup Classic last November, injury has prevented him from running since then. Trained by Jamie Osborne, he was sold by Michael Buckley to Al Shaqab Racing with the intention of running in this year's World Cup but those plans had to be curtailed. He is making good progress now, though, and a return to Meydan, where he won the UAE Derby in 2014, is on the agenda. "He's in very good form and Jamie is pleased with him," said Al Shaqab Racing manager Harry Herbert. "We won't see him this year, but the World Cup next year is a definite target."
