Toscanini is set to head Michael Halford's team for the Dubai Carnival this winter.

Halford is aiming the Godolphin-owned four-year-old for sprinting honours on Dubai World Cup night in March.

"Toscanini is going to go there, Hasanour and the horse we got from America, Wild Dude. They're the ones for the moment," Halford told At The Races.

"He (Toscanini) went out there last year, but he was still a colt then and was just getting used to sprinting. I think he's a different kettle of fish now. I think he'll love it over there.

"There are loads of races for him, but we'll probably work back from World Cup night, so it's likely he won't have too many runs, maybe have one run before Super Saturday and see how we go from there."

Halford also has high hopes for his American import Wild Dude, who he will campaign on the dirt.

"He ran in Korea on Champions Weekend but it didn't go to plan on the day," said the County Kildare handler.

"The surface was very deep sand. He trained very well and we are only getting to know him, but he's come home, had a break and is back in work now.

"He's a lovely horse and just handles the dirt. It's exciting to have a dirt horse going to Dubai.

"Not many European horses handle it and it will be exciting to have one that does handle the surface, especially at the level he's at. He's a good horse."

Hasanour ran below par in Dubai last year, but he was found to have a few issues and Halford reports the six-year-old to be back on song now and expects him to perform much better this time round.

"Ground is important for him and we decided a while ago to freshen him up and go back to Dubai with him," he said.

"He didn't have a good time there last year. (He had) one or two niggly problems which we've since sorted, so we're looking forward to going back there with him.

"He could pay his way well this year."
