Gavin Cromwell is considering another trip across the water for Total Look after he finished a close third in the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday.

The Cloth Of Stars gelding was just a neck behind dead-heat winners Quantock Hills and Teriferma after two less than fluent leaps at the business end.

Cromwell said: "He just missed the second last and the last, and that probably cost him.

“He won his maiden on his first run around here (Navan) and they hacked around on soft ground. It was a different pace there on Saturday, but he would have learned plenty from it.

“He'd want to buck up his jumping and sharpen up, but it was only his second run over hurdles.

“I wouldn't rule out bringing him back over to Britain for a novice hurdle.”
