Connections are to decide whether or not to step The Tullow Tank up in trip after he came out on top in the Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.

The Barry Connell-owned five-year-old, trained by Philip Fenton, looked an exciting prospect when gaining command close home to land the two-mile Grade One by half a length from Renneti.

The Tullow Tank was quoted for both the Sky Bet Supreme over the shorter distance and Neptune Novices Hurdle over two miles five furlongs at the Cheltenham Festival.

"He's come out of it very well and I was very pleased with him," said Fenton.

"It's early days, but I must have a chat with Barry and then we'll make a decision where his next run might be.

"Whether we go up in trip or not, we don't know yet."
