Upmanship chases historic win Native Upmanship, attempting to become the first horse to win the race three times, was one of seven runners declared at the 48-hour stage for the £150,000 Grade 1 Martell Cognac Melling Chase at Aintree on Friday.However, it will be tough going for Arthur Moore´s two and a half specialist as he faces a belated rematch with fellow Irish challenger Moscow Flyer, who put him in his place with a stunning display to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham 13 months ago.Moscow Specialist will be bidding to erase the memory of his fourth-last fence tumble when defending his two-mile crown at Cheltenham earlier this month, but, though now stepping up in distance, connections feel that he will get home over the sharp Mildmay course at Aintree.Flagship Uberalles and Cenkos, second and fourth respectively at Cheltenham, reoppose Moscow Flyer, but the shortest priced of the home team could well be Le Roi Miguel, whose trainer, Paul Nicholls, captured the prize three years ago with Fadalko.Nicholls has purposely kept Le Roi Miguel fresh for this race, with the gelding, who won the big novices´ chase at this meeting last year, not having raced since being bogged down in a quagmire at Ascot in January. Isio and Strong Magic are the other two runners.
