WAYNE SMITH TO RIDE FREELANCE FROM NEXT MONTH Jockey Wayne Smith will return in May from his successful stint in Dubai.He had intended to try his hand on the American circuit, but a late change of heart will see him back home next month.Smith will not be retained by Ger Lyons as Lyons had to make alternate arrangements and the lightweight will instead ride freelance with his sister Sue acting as agent.His services are sure to be in demand as he has raised his profile several notches with a memorable campaign in Dubai. He currently lies second in the UAE jockey`s championship and rode a winner, second and third at the big meeting at Nad Al Sheba which was beamed worldwide last month.
