Walsh Dislocates Shoulder

Ruby Walsh suffered a dislocated shoulder when falling from McGruders Cross in the Leinster Petroleum European Breeders Fund Beginners Chase at Navan.

The rider came to grief four from home on the Anthony Mullins-trained seven-year-old and was taken to hospital for X-rays.

His agent and sister Jennifer said: 'He was taken to the hospital in Navan with a dislocated shoulder but I wouldn´t be able to say how long he will be out for at the moment.'

The race went to Noel Meade´s Father Matt (7-1), ironically a spare ride for Michael Darcy who was deputising for Paul Carberry after he was stood down by the doctor following a fall earlier in the day.
