Walsh Plumps For Shotgun Ruby Walsh has chosen to ride Shotgun Willy in the forthcoming Martell Cognac Grand National on April 5.Walsh had the choice of the leading pair in the betting market for the Aintree showpiece, both trained by Paul Nicholls, turning down the ride aboard Ad Hoc. Paul Carberry will take that mount.Carberry rode Ad Hoc charge in last years event and was in contention until being brought down four fences from home. Although looking a likely winner of last year's race until his mishap, Ad Hoc's price has lengthened to 6-1 from 5-1 with Ladbrokes. Shotgun Willy is now 7-1 from 8-1 with the same firm.
