Walsh looking forward to Arkle spin Ruby Walsh does not see the white-hot atmosphere of the Cheltenham Festival proving a problem to Sunday's scintillating Irish Arkle winner Un De Sceaux An excitable type, Ruby Walsh managed to restrain him throughout the race far more than he had been in any of his previous races, and it paid dividends as he sprinted clear in the home straight. While the whole experience of Cheltenham will be different again, Walsh has no concerns. "Un De Sceaux was very good. He got in (close) when he had to and stood off when he could and galloped away to the line," he told Racing UK. "He'll be an exciting ride in the Arkle and it will be good fun. "He's straightforward to ride - you know what he's going to do - and he's probably straightforward to ride against as you know what the tactics are. There's no hidden genius in riding him. "He's been to France twice, I know that's not the same as Cheltenham, but the travelling obviously won't bother him. "I don't think the crowd will bother him, or the track either, there's plenty of ups and downs in Ireland. "It's a fine line riding him. He's not daft, though, he's looking where he's going. Show me a two-mile chaser who is careful. "Look at Moscow Flyer, he either won or fell. Two-milers have to be braver than three-milers." His trainer Willie Mullins has another smart novice in Vautour and Walsh has not ruled out the two clashing at Cheltenham. "It wouldn't be a done deal that Vautour goes for the JLT," Walsh told Racing UK. "He's entered in both (Arkle and JLT) and I have no doubt that he'd get two and a half in the JLT but he also has the pace to follow Un De Sceaux, that's up to Willie and Rich Ricci (owner) to decide."
