Ruby Walsh faces an injury layoff after suffering a suspected broken leg when Let's Dance fell in the Listed mares' hurdle at Punchestown.

The 4/9 favourite was making her seasonal reappearance and tracked Forge Meadow in second when falling at the fourth last.

Walsh had won the preceding race on Burrows Saint but this was his third fall on today's card.

Turf Club Medical Officer Jennifer Pugh reported: “He has been taken to Naas hospital for X-rays on a suspected lower leg injury to his right leg.”

The Turf Club's chief medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick said: "Ruby has a probable fracture of his right tibia and fibia.

"He is going to Naas for X-rays and then he'll be transferred to Tallaght.

"He got a nasty kick off his own horse when he was trying to get up. He's fully alert, though."
