Connections of Listowel course-specialist Dragon Of Malta were on the mark again today, as Polanco (7/2) landed Dundalk's concluding BAR 1 Betting Bet Builder Boost Handicap for trainer Pat O'Donnell and owner Anthony Hennessy.

O'Donnell and Hennessy's part-owned stable star Dragon Of Malta completed a consecutive-days double at Listowel in September, matching that same remarkable feat of 2025, and today, three-year-old Polanco gained his maiden success at his 11th attempt.

Polanco raced keenly in scoring by a short-head from Aghadrum Boy , and afterwards winning rider Chris Hayes quipped "of the things I was told to do, the only thing I did right was to go down to the start steady and relaxed!

"He got into the gates, came out like a tiger and while I tried to keep him out on his own, I was doing far too much for the first two furlongs. I thought the damage was done and then I thought I was beaten on the line.

"He was game though and I think if they can get him to just drop the revs, he could progress because he probably wants to go another two furlongs."
